There are 4 main types of skateboards you should know:
1. Street Skateboard

Best for tricks (ollies, flips, etc.)

Works in streets and skateparks
Best for beginners and Pros
2. Cruiser Skateboard

Softer wheels = smoother ride

Easy to balance

Not made for tricks
Good for: riding around / daily use
3. Longboard

Longer and more stable

Very smooth for long rides

Hard to do tricks
Good for: cruising and distance
4. Electric Skateboard

Has a motor (no pushing needed)

Controlled with a remote

Expensive
Good for: easy riding, not learning tricks
Final Thoughts:
If you’re starting out:
Go for a street skateboard.
